Our doctors and staff are dedicated to providing you with the necessary information and resources to make intelligent decisions concerning your health. Although the general use of "lifestyle medications" is very safe, you should realize that there are certain medical conditions in which these "lifestyle medications" are not appropriate. Prior to ordering Diflucan online, please review the prescribing information. If you have a history of any of the listed medical conditions and/or you are taking any of the medication listed in the following Precaution and Drug Interactions sections, please visit your local physician. This does not mean that Diflucan is not appropriate for your condition, our physicians strongly believe that it would be in your best health interest to obtain a prescription via a traditional office visit.

Diflucan (fluconazole) Drug Information

Possible Uses of Diflucan
Diflucan is an antifungal medication. Diflucan is like an antibiotic but is used to treat fungal infections. Diflucan is used to treat yeast infections of the mouth, throat, and esophagus; vaginal yeast infections; fungal urinary tract infections; pneumonia caused by yeast; and fungal infections throughout the whole body and in the blood. Diflucan is also used to prevent fungal infections from occurring in people with suppressed immune systems such as cancer chemotherapy patients, organ transplant patients, and AIDS patients

Diflucan Dosing Information
The recommended dosage of Diflucan for vaginal candidiasis is 150 mg as a single oral dose (this dose is only a only generalization; the dose may vary depending on the patient's medical history).

Diflucan Precautions
Individuals should not exceed the recommended dose of Diflucan or take the medication for longer than prescribed without first consulting with your physician. Keep all physician and laboratory appointments while you are using Diflucan. Inform your physician of your complete medical history especially if you have a history of kidney disease and/or liver disease, immunocompromised (HIV) cancer, etc. Individuals with a history of nocturnal heartburn secondary to gastroesophageal reflux disease that are treated with cisapride (Propulsid) should not take Diflucan. Combining Diflucan with cisapride (Propulsid), could cause serious, even fatal, heart complications.

Diflucan Drug Interactions
Inform your physician of all nonprescription and prescription medication you may use. In addition to cisapride (Propulsid), mentioned in the above section, the following medications may cause severe drug interactions if taken with Diflucan: oral diabetes medicine (glipizide [Glucotrol], glyburide [Diabeta], glyburide, [Micronase], glyburide [Glynase], tolbutamide [Orinase], tolazamide [Tolinase], chlorpropamide [Diabinese], etc.), warfarin (Coumadin), phenytoin (Dilantin, others), cyclosporine (Sandimmune, Neoral), Tacrolimus (Prograf), Rifabutin (Mycobutin) or rifampin (Rifadin, Rimactane), theophylline (Theo-Dur, Theolair, Theochron, Elixophyllin, Slo-Phyllin, others), astemizole (Hismanal), terfenadine (seldane), etc. Do not start, stop or change the dose of any medicine without physician or pharmacist approval.

Missed Doses of Diflucan
If you miss a dose of Diflucan, take the medication as soon as remembered; do not use the medication if it is almost time for the next dose, instead, skip the missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule.

Final Diflucan Notes
